Acne Remedy™

How it Works:

Acne Remedy™ combines nutrients that support healthy skin from oxidative stress, healthy intestinal bacteria, and helps eliminate the blemishes and pimples associated with occasional acne.*

Vitamin A (as retinyl acetate) supports healthy bacterial balance, immune function, and skin keratinization.*1
Vitamin C (as ascorbic acid) fights oxidative stress, and supports healthy tissue development.*2
Vitamin B-6 (in Pyridoxal-5-Phosphate or P-5-P form) supports the immune system, and healthy skin.* It also helps synthesize serotonin and dopamine – two of the “feel good” chemicals produced by the body. The P-5-P form is easily absorbed and doesn’t need to be converted by the body, so it can provide benefits much more quickly and efficiently.*3
Niacin is a crucial nutrient in maintaining healthy tissue formation and preventing oxidative damage.*4
Zinc is a must for a healthy immune system and healthy cell growth.*5,6
Potassium helps support the body’s natural acid/alkaline balance, and inhibits free radical damage.*7
Sulfur has long been used to promote healthy skin and reduce occasional acne.*8-10
Lactoferrin helps the body keep a balance of probiotic (“good”) bacteria in the digestive system, which is vitally important for many reasons.* In this case, there is a proven link between acne and how well the gastrointestinal tract functions. So, in addition to supporting immune system function and a healthy inflammation response, lactoferrin’s support of the balance of beneficial probiotics in the intestines helps minimize symptoms such as gas and bloating, which are frequently associated with occasional acne.*11-13

FAQ's

Acne Remedy™

Q: Do foods cause acne?

Not necessarily. Although it was believed that chocolate and sweets were prime contributors to acne, it hasn’t been borne out by the evidence that diet is a direct cause of acne. However, food choices can contribute to hormonal fluctuations, which – along with other physical and psychological stresses – can be responsible for occasional acne and blemishes.*

Q: If I am allergic to sulfa drugs can I take this product?

Yes, you can take Acne Remedy. “Sulfa” and “sulfur” are not the same, even though they sound like it. Of course, as with all dietary supplements, we encourage you to discuss its use with your healthcare practitioner before adding to your regimen.

Acne Remedy™

The ascorbic acid form of vitamin C was first isolated by Hungarian scientist Albert Szent-Györgyi in 1927, although at first he wasn’t sure what it was. In fact, the first name he called it was “ignose”, a combination of the Latin word for “I don’t know” and the “ose” ending for a sugar substance.
