Adaptra™ - (formerly Daily Stress Relief)

This combination of four clinically tested herbal extracts helps promote energy, vitality, and stress resistance. Research suggests that their beneficial activity may be primarily through the prevention of negative stress responses (increase of nitric oxide production) and preserving cellular energy (ATP) production. Each herb in the formula is standardized to its key compound ensuring potency and benefits.*

Rhodiola (rosavins)

Rhodiola is particularly effective at reducing acute stress. In clinical tests of people in stressful occupations, rhodiola extract was shown to improve energy, reduce fatigue, and boost concentration, focus, and mental clarity.*1-3

Eleuthero (eleuthorosides)

A clinical trial of eleuthero found it to be effective at reducing physical response to chronic stress. Additional research has found the administration of eleuthero was associated with improved mental health, increased physical endurance, increased immune activity, and reduced cortisol levels.*4-6

Schisandra (schisandrins)

Schisandra reduces cortisol and protects the adrenal glands from the effects of stress, as well as increasing energy and stamina.*11,12  It has also been shown to support a natural anti-inflammatory response.*13

Ashwagandha (withanolides)

Ashwagandha is an important remedy in Ayurvedic medicine, where it is used to promote physical and mental health and rejuvenate the body.  Research studies have found that ashwaghanda increases resistance to stress, including reducing plasma corticosterone levels and increasing antioxidant activity.*7,8  In men, administration of ashwagandha was associated with decreased stress and improved semen quality.*9,10

Did You Know?

Adaptogenic plants, such as rhodiola and ashwagandha, help increase the body’s resistance to stress. Adaptogens are not toxic, they work in multiple pathways (non-specific) to defend against stress and increase energy, and they have a normalizing influence on the body.* Most of the adaptogenic herbs have a long history of use in Eastern medicine, including Ayurveda and Traditional Chinese Medicine. Eleuthero, ginseng, and astragalus are other examples of adaptogenic herbs.
