Berry Healthy Eyes™

Berry Healthy Eyes combines two clinically researched ingredients to support eye function. Astaxanthin from microalgae (Haematococcus pluvial – the richest natural source of this beneficial compound) has been shown to protect the cells of the eye from oxidative stress caused by free radicals. It has also demonstrated support for the body’s natural anti-inflammatory response. Black currant is a rich natural source of anthocyanins, beneficial antioxidant compounds which also give the berries their rich purple color. Anthocyanins are potent antioxidants which are particularly active in eye tissues.*

Supports healthy eye pressure; a potent antioxidant, astaxanthin helps protect eye tissue from free radical damage*1-3

Black currant (Ribes nigrum)
Black currant was shown in a clinical study to improve night vision. Participants also reported a reduction in eye fatigue. The anthocyanins in black currant provide help protect delicate retinal tissue from oxidative stress.*4,5

Berry Healthy Eyes™

Astaxanthin is a yellow plant pigment (color) known as a carotenoid. In nature, it is found in yeast, salmon, trout, krill, and shrimp. Certain species of birds, such as cardinals and flamingos, are able to metabolize astaxanthin in their feathers, giving them their distinctive bright red and pink coloration, respectively. Without sufficient astaxanthin in their diets, cardinals are a pale red and flamingos are white.
