Berry Healthy Heart™

High antioxidant formula from choke berry, grape seed, and pine bark designed to support cardiovascular health.* A 5 to 1 extract (5 lbs of choke berries are used to produce one pound of extract) yields a high potency formula.

Choke berry (Aronia melanocarpa)
Choke berry has a very high ORAC value – 2 to 3 times higher than other berries such as strawberries, blueberries, or blackberries. Choke berry extract and juice has been tested in multiple clinical and scientific studies. It has been shown to help increase the activity of glutathione, one of the most important antioxidants in the body, as well as support healthy blood pressure and cholesterol levels already within the normal range.*1-4

Grape seed (Vitis vinifera)
In clinical tests of participants looking for increased heart support, administration of grape seed extract was associated with increased antioxidant activity and reduced levels of C-reactive protein, as well as retention of healthy cholesterol levels already within the normal range. Beneficial inhibition of cellular cholesterol uptake and certain inflammatory compounds was also detected during in in-vitro testing.*5,6

French Maritime Pine Bark (Pinus pinaster)
Supplemental pine bark extract has been shown to increase plasma antioxidant levels as well as support healthy cholesterol levels already within the normal range.*7-9

Did You Know?

Chokeberry (Aronia melanocarpa ) is a shrub native to the wet woods and swamps of the eastern United States and Canada. The common name “chokeberry” refers to the extremely sour, bitter taste of the raw berries. When sweetened, chokeberries are used to make jam, syrup and other foods. Chokeberries should not be confused with chokecherries (Prunus virginiana), a distantly related but separate plant species. The chokeberry is deep blue-black in color, signifying its high level of anthocyanin content and potent antioxidant activity.*
