Calm Essentials™

Containing three purified plant oils, Calm Essentials™ can be taken daily or just when needed to relieve stress and promote relaxation. Each oil – mandarain, basil, and exotic verbena – in the formula has relaxing and calming effects. Calm Essentials can be used to help with occasional sleeplessness, improve mood, and relieve stress and irritability.* The plant oils are highly purified and chemotyped (a test to ensure the correct plant type and species was used) to ensure consistent benefits.

Mandarin (Citrus reticulata)
Relaxing and calming effects have been reported for several Citrus species. Citrus reticulata has been shown in scientific studies to relieve stress and anxiety and improve sleep, probably because of its effects on the nervous system.*1-3

Basil (Ocimum basilicum)
Sweet basil contains a plant compound known as rosmarinic acid, which has been shown in laboratory studies to help reduce anxiety and relieve stress.*4

Exotic Verbena (Litsea citrate)
The oils from Litsea citrata have a lemon-like aroma and are often used in aromatherapy for their calming effects.*5

Did You Know?

The mandarin is just one variety of fruit in the orange family. Unlike “traditional” oranges it is a flattened circle (called “oblate”) in shape rather than being round. The most commonly known type of mandarin orange is the Clementine, although there are many others. An alternate name for mandarin oranges is tangerine, although this name is usually used only for mandarin oranges with red-orange skin. Mandarin oranges are also known as “kid-glove” or “zipper” oranges because the peel is very thin and loose, and comes off easily.
