Curamin®

How it Works:

A unique combination, this formula combines ingredients with multiple mechanisms of action to support a healthy inflammation response and relieve occasional muscle pain due to exercise and overuse. Curcumin and boswellia modulate COX-2 and 5-LOX. DLPA promotes positive mood and nattokinase increase circulation to move the beneficial compounds to the areas of the body where they are needed.*

DLPA
DL-phenylalanine is an amino acid consisting of equal parts D-phenylalanine and L-phenylalanine. D-phenylalanine inhibits the breakdown of compounds called enkephalins. Enkephalins are associated with positive mood and have been shown to relieve occasional muscle pain due to exercise or overuse.* L-phenylalanine is converted into tyrosine, which in turn is used to produce the brain chemicals norepinephrine and dopamine.1-3

Boswellia (Boswellia serrata)
Clinically tested boswellia (BosPure) helps modulate the activity of 5-LOX (lipoxygenase).* A compound (beta boswellic acid) found in boswellia which interferes with its beneficial activity has been removed, greatly increasing the effectiveness of this extract.4,5

Curcumin (Curcumin longa)
Curcumin, a compound found in the spice turmeric, is associated with many benefits, including: immune system modulation, protection from oxidative stress, and support for a healthy inflammation response.* The specialized extract in this formula has up to 10 times the absorption and blood retention time of standardized 95% curcumin extracts.6-12

Nattokinase
The enzyme nattokinase helps promote blood flow, aiding the other ingredients in the formula to reach all areas of the body.*13, 14

Curamin®

Q: Does Nattokinase contain Vitamin K?

No. Nattokinase is an isolated and purified enzyme extract from natto (a fermented soybean food), which does contain vitamin K.

Q: Why do some capsules occasionally appear lighter/darker yellow than others?

It’s not unusual for natural ingredients to have some variance in color. The important thing is that the standardized compounds within the herbal ingredients are the same. When you see variations, just keep in mind that it is simply the result of being a botanical product.

Q: Is there a difference between Curamin® and curcumin?

Yes. Curcumin is the beneficial compound found in the root of the turmeric plant. Curamin is the name of the product which contains curcumin along with BosPure® boswellia, DLPA and nattokinase.

Q: Is there a difference between turmeric and curcumin?

Yes. Turmeric is the plant that provides curcumin. A typical turmeric root contains about 2-5% curcumin, so taking an unstandardized, powdered turmeric root product means that very large amounts would be required to get a beneficial amount of curcumin. Additionally, curcumin is poorly absorbed from the gastrointestinal tract. While turmeric is excellent when used as a spice, a bioavailable curcumin extract, such as the BCM-95 used in Curamin, is a better choice for health benefits.

Q: My mother can’t swallow capsules. Can she open them up and take them with food?

Yes, opening the capsules and mixing with a food or drink is an excellent way for anyone who can’t swallow capsules to use Curamin®.

Q: Why would you put silicon dioxide in your wonderful product?

Silicon dioxide is just there to make sure that the premium ingredients in Curamin® are properly mixed and measured so that every capsule guarantees the same effective, beneficial components. Many botanical ingredients are, by their nature, “sticky” and can tend to clump if they are not mixed with a minute amount of inert, harmless natural material.

Curamin®

The beneficial health effects of the spice turmeric are primarily due to the presence of active compounds known as curcuminoids. The primary curcuminoid is curcumin, and most turmeric extracts are standardized to curcumin content. The other two most active curcuminoids are demethoxycurcumin and bisdemethoxycurcumin. New research is focusing on the benefits for curcuminoids in boosting immune health, aiding in brain function, promoting cellular health, and reducing post-exercise pain and supporting a healthy inflammation response.*

The Secret of Curamin's Power

What's the secret? Combining the best of the best. Curamin contains a super-absorption curcumin called BCM-95 that can be up to 10 times stronger than plain curcumin products.

Known for its ability to balance the body's natural inflammatory response, BCM-95® has been proven in published clinical studies to provide consistent and long-lasting effects. The impact of BosPure® boswellia is enhanced by removal of pro-inflammatory compounds commonly found in this plant. And DLPA (DL-phenylalanine) has been shown to help maximize the effects of endorphins and enkephalins, the body's own powerful pain relievers. Rounding out the formula is an enzyme, nattokinase, that not only boosts healthy circulation, it has a direct impact on muscle pain via its ability to balance fibrinogen levels in the body.*
