Every Body's Multiple™

How It Works:

Everyone needs daily multiple vitamin and mineral support, but over-specialization has made selecting the right formula difficult. Every Body’s Multiple™ provides the nutrients everybody needs from the ages of 12 and up.

Bioactive B-vitamins: Some individuals have difficulty absorbing the crucial B-vitamins they need for good health, so much of the value of supplemental B-vitamins is lost before they can provide any benefits. Every Body’s Multiple provides vitamin B6 ,B12, and folic acid in their active forms – P-5-P, methylcobalamin, and L-methylfolate. In these forms, they require no conversion by the liver, and are readily used by the body to support energy levels, cardiovascular health, nerve function, carbohydrate metabolism, and amino acid production.*1-8 This formula provides the levels of B-vitamins and folate needed by everybody – including women who are pregnant and nursing.*

Vitamin D3: The “sunshine vitamin” is a daily requirement that supports proper calcium absorption for healthy bones and teeth, immune system function, healthy inflammation response, and helps maintain mental well-being and cognitive function.*9-14

While vitamin D is vital for anyone regardless of age, it should be noted that vitamin D has protective effects for brain cells. In clinical trials, higher serum levels of vitamin D are associated with improved mental function. Additional studies, particularly in older adults, have found that increased serum levels of vitamin D are associated with healthy cognitive (brain) function.*15

Calcium: The most abundant mineral in the body, calcium is a required nutrient for more than just bone health – emerging research suggests that calcium may help support cholesterol and blood pressure levels already within normal limits as well.*16-18

Easily absorbed chelated trace minerals: To ensure a benefit from these essential nutrients, Every Body’s Multiple uses The Real Amino Acid Chelate System (TRAACS®) which binds minerals to amino acids to create an organic molecule the body can easily use. The benefits of proper mineral intake include support for healthy muscle tissue and heart rhythm, immune system function, proper bone and collagen formation, metabolic function, mental well-being and healthy metabolism.*19-30

A “chelate” is a bond between a mineral (often called “inorganic”) and a molecule structure, called a “ligand” that helps the body absorb the mineral during digestion. The amino acid glycine makes an excellent molecule to help shepherd minerals through the intestinal wall, because it is so small that it can be transported directly into the cells of the body, so it can get to work right away.

Vitamin E from d-alpha and mixed tocopherol complex: The complete family of tocopherols; alpha, beta, delta, and gamma, are included in this formula to help support heart and immune system health, and protect cellular structures from oxidative damage.*31,32

Ginger root extract (Zingiber officinale) This botanical ingredient supports the digestive system, promoting bile flow and gastric secretions, helping the body absorb the nutrients it needs for optimum vitality.*33,34 The extract in Every Body’s Multiple is standardized for 5% gingerols.

Every Body's Multiple™

Q: What are chelated minerals and why are they important?

A “chelate” is a bond between a mineral (often called “inorganic”) and a molecule structure, called a “ligand” that helps the body absorb the mineral during digestion. The amino acid glycine makes an excellent molecule to help shepherd minerals through the intestinal wall, because it is so small that it can be transported directly into the cells of the body, so it can get to work right away.

The chelated minerals used in Every Body’s Multiple uses The Real Amino Acid Chelate System, known as TRAACS®.

Q: Should I consider supplementing with iron in addition to Every Body’s Multiple?

You certainly could. After all, our need for iron is much greater than many people might think. Iron is an essential trace mineral that helps transport oxygen in the blood, support cellular energy creation and proper neurotransmitter synthesis. Naturally, women who are pregnant or nursing require iron, but anyone who is active could use this essential mineral. In fact, people who exercise intensively may have a 30% greater need for iron.* Additionally, it’s important to remember that the form of iron makes a big difference. Heme iron – from an animal source – absorbs much more efficiently in the body.

The reason for the controversy about iron was based on an earlier Finnish study that hypothesized a link between iron levels and oxidative stress on LDL cholesterol, a potential risk to heart health. Since then, three major studies have found no relationship between elevated iron status and negative effects on coronary health. But for some reason, the bias against iron persists – despite evidence to the contrary.

The result of this has been reported iron deficiencies in recent dietary surveys in the United States. Even with iron fortified foods, over 7 million women and 700,000 toddlers in America are estimated to have iron deficiency. And, possibly due to the popular idea that men “don’t need iron” middle-aged and older men were found to have low iron levels as well.

We believe in the current science that re-emphasizes the importance of iron. For that reason, you may consider our supplement, Liver Fractions™, which provides natural heme iron that is concentrated and predigested for better absorption.

Every Body's Multiple™

The word “vitamin” is only about 100 years old. It was coined by researcher Casimir Funk by combining the words “vital” and “amine”. Amines are compounds, and Funk believed that they were the “vital” compounds of nutrients. Although vitamins are more complicated than that, the name “vitamin” stuck, and we have used it ever since.
