How it Works:

Life’s-Trio™ provides a convenient and effective way to manage healthy blood pressure and cholesterol, with 500 mg of potassium per serving, and support digestion, bone, and cellular immune health.*† It combines a triple blend of plant sterols, potassium, and calcium in a ground flax powder base and provides an easy way to get nutrients that may be otherwise missing from your diet.

In a randomized, double blind placebo-controlled clinical trial, the ingredients in Life’s-Trio supported healthy cholesterol levels by 8% versus 3% for the placebo group.*†1

Plant Sterols:

Because of their structural similarity to cholesterol, plant sterols are able to take up the sites in the intestines where cholesterol would otherwise be absorbed. The cholesterol can then be more easily excreted by the body, carried by the fiber content of the flax powder.1,2

Flax seed powder: Lignans from flax seed powder can help support healthy cholesterol levels. In one randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled study, SDG (secoisolariciresinol diglucoside) lignans supported healthy total and LDL cholesterol levels by 22% and 24% respectively. 3

The fiber content of flax seed powder provides gentle digestive support. Flax seed powder can also help balance estrogen levels throughout the body, supporting breast and prostate health, and healthy cell development. Additionally, along with the calcium in the formula, flax seed lignans may help support bone health.*4-8

Potassium helps balance sodium levels in the body and supports healthy blood pressure already within the normal range. Because it is in a matrix of flax seed powder, Life’s-Trio is able to provide 500 mg of potassium – 5 times the amount available in tablet or capsule forms.9,10

Life's-Trio®

Q: Is there a specific time of day I should take Life’s-Trio™?

Anytime is great, but Life’s-Trio makes an excellent addition to your breakfast or lunch routine added into cold foods like yogurt, or hot foods such as oatmeal. It shouldn’t be used as an ingredient in cooking, however, as that will limit the ingredients beneficial effects.

Q: Is it okay to take Life’s-Trio with other omega-3 supplements?

Definitely. Life’s-Trio provides flaxseed, but individuals vary in their ability to convert the essential fatty acids from flax into EPA (eicosapentaenoic acid), so it’s a great idea to add another omega-3 source, like Vectomega® to your regimen, just so you can be certain that you’re getting the ideal levels of DHA and EPA each day.

Q: Can I mix Life’s-Trio with water?

Yes. For a simple mix of Life’s-Trio, you can add it to water. It has a very mild-to-neutral taste, which is why we mention adding it to other flavored foods. However, the benefits will be the same whether you add it to water or something more substantial.

Q: I thought a supplement could only contain 99 mg of potassium per dose. Is this true?

That’s correct – IF the supplement is a capsule or tablet. Capsules and tablets are limited by law to provide less than 100 mg per dose because it can irritate the stomach lining in that form. Since Life’s-Trio is a powder you mix with a beverage or food, it is safe for your stomach and is not limited in the amount of potassium it can deliver (500 mg per dose).
