How it Works:

MenoComplete™

Some of the most common symptoms associated with changing hormone levels in menopause are hot flashes and night sweats, and occasional trouble in getting a good night’s sleep. The ingredients in MenoComplete were selected for their ability to address these common symptoms plus support other health concerns of women during menopause.*

Hop Cone Extract (Humulus lupulus):
The hops plant is well known for its ability to promote relaxation and sleep. Additionally, hops contain compounds – phytoestrogens – which have mildly estrogenic effects and can help relieve common menopause symptoms such as hot flashes and night sweats.*1-3 In a randomized, double blind, placebo-controlled study, the use of the unique hops extract in MenoComplete was associated with 4 times fewer hot flashes and double the reduction in overall menopause symptoms (versus placebo).

Pomegranate (Punica granatum) standardized to contain at least 60% polyphenols:
Pomegranate is a strong free radical fighter and has been shown to support a variety of health concerns for women during menopause, including joint function, skin health, and healthy breast cell development and function.*4-10

Black cohosh (Cimicifuga racemosa):
Black cohosh is one of the best known natural treatments for the relief of hot flashes, night sweats, and other symptoms of menopause.*11,12

MenoComplete™

Q: Q. I need to avoid estrogen. How safe is a phytoestrogen such as the hops extract?

A. While certain plants are a source of compounds, known as phytoestrogens, which can have a supportive effect on estrogen levels in the body, their activity is 10,000 to 20,000 times weaker than synthetic estrogen hormones such as 17-beta-estradiol, used for the relief of menopause symptoms.   Clinical studies have shown that the hops extract used in MenoComplete provides significant relief of hot flashes and night sweats with no significant adverse effects.

Q: Q. I’ve heard that black cohosh may cause liver problems – should I be worried?

A. You don’t need to worry – black cohosh is perfectly safe. In fact, a recent safety review in the journal Menopause confirmed that black cohosh does not cause liver damage. Not only that, but this study, the women taking black cohosh who had shown indicators of liver concerns before study showed enhanced liver function after the study. Nonetheless, we encourage you to discuss adding any supplement to your regimen with your health care practitioner.
