TheraDerm™

Containing a blend of plant and marine oils and herbal extracts, TheraDerm™ promotes the proper hydration of skin and mucous membranes. Because it is also supportive of the body’s natural anti-inflammatory response, this formula is also beneficial for both skin and the lining of internal organs such as the intestines, lungs, and digestive tract.*

Evidence (How it Works)

Borage seed oil (Borago officinalis)
Intake of borage oil significantly decreased water loss (by 10%) from skin, and improved skin hydration.* In a separate study, participants receiving supplemental borage seed oil reported reduced skin dryness.*1,2

Omega-3 complex (EPA/DHA)
Omega-3 fatty acids help support a healthy inflammation response, especially in the skin.*3,4

Phosphatidylcholine
Phosphatidylcholine is a major constituent of cell membranes and has protective effects for mucous membranes.*5,6

Devil’s Claw (Harpagophytum procumbens)
Many trials have validated the effects of Devil’s claw in supporting a healthy inflammatory response. This herb has a long history of use in supporting healthy skin.*7

Grape seed (Vitis vinifera)
Grape seed is a source of polyphenols, plant compounds which neutralize free radicals associated with sun exposure which can age and damage skin.*8

TheraDerm™

Borage, commonly known as starflower, is native to Syria, although it now grows throughout the Middle East. It is said that borage planted near tomato plants makes them grow better and gives the tomato a better taste. This plant has long been thought to improve mood. In fact, the ancient Greek naturalist Pliny said that borage “maketh a man merry and joyful.”

For Hydration and Healthy Inflammation Response of Skin
and Mucosal Membranes*

Product Number: 20216 - 60 Softgels

Dietary Supplement

TheraDerm™ is a blend of plant and marine oils that maintains healthy inflammation response particularly for the epidermis (outermost layer of skin), intestinal and digestive tract, upper respiratory tract and lungs. Essential fatty acids from Omega-3 and Omega-6 GLA (gamma-linoleic acid) are required for healthy hair and skin. Omega-3 EFAs are included in this formula to prevent Omega-6 EFA’s from converting to arachidonic acid (which is pro-inflammation). Significantly increases (by 41%) hyaluronic acid providing optimal hydration to the skin and joints.*
